Course Objective

The aim of this course is to study nihilism as a philosophical approach, and to search the nihilistic manner in literary works.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   At the end of this course, the student will be able; to distinguish main nihilistic claims.
2   to analyze historical manifestations of nihilism.
3   to ascertain nihilistic reflections in literary works.
4   to interpret the literary works by comparison.
5   to employ a critical and theoretical perspective.

1. Mid-term exam assessment will be based on questions regarding the use of knowledge and skills acquired until the exam date.
