Course Objective

In this course, it will provide basic information about the development of art in civilization First Millenium B.C. in Anatolia. Ceramics, plastic and architectural works will be discussed comparatively.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Students learn to describe sub-cultures of Anatolia by examining the works of art
2   Students mainly deal with works of art manufactured in cultural regions such as Urartu, Phrygia, Caria, Lydia, Lykia, Pamphylia, Cilicia and Galatia
3   Students examine works of art the perspectives of modes and interactions of productions, creativity and other social representations
4   Material and production techniques are also studied
5   Museums and exhibitions on the subjects will be studied for further study
