Course Objective

Main objective of thise course is an examination of economics, finance and social policies dimensions during disaster management process. In order to coordinating of integrated policies during these processes have some dilemmas should be known mechanism of institutions operations which is applying policies. Choosing of policy alternatives on disaster management process is important the period of regular or irregular. The challenge for disasters requires creating some public goods namely global public goods . In this reason, aiming of this course content offers some analysis on compare policy differences between international institutions and countries.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Be aware of economic, financial and social policy proposals in disaster management.
2   Be provide the investigating of international preventive strategic approaches and principles and policies based on fundamental legislation.
3   Be able to learn the framework of coordination conditions among institutions which make policies in the disaster management process.
4   Be able to learn analyzing the policy compositions that needs in the process initially education, health, accommodation, security etc.
5   Analyzing the related practice examples.
6   Be able to know global public goods phenomena in the theoretical and practical perspectives in disaster prevention and cost minimization.
7   Be able to learn fiscal coordination among institutions which provides public services, put into practice and solve the problems.
8   Be able to learn the sources of economic, fiscal and social costs and investigate the opportunities to prompting financial sources (tax incomes, aids, grants etc.) effectively and quickly.
9   Be able to get problem defining and avoiding skills related to loss and corruptions in the policy mix experiments in the past.
