Course Objective

Quality Auditing is the systematic examination to determine whether an organization is complying with the requirements of its quality program or needs to make changes in its business practices. The objective of this course is to provide students with knowledge and skills about planning and implementation of quality audits of processes, products and systems.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To have a knowledge understanding of the principles, concepts and types of quality auditing.
2   To be able to make plan and prepare necessary tools for auditing at quality management system, process and product level.
3   To be able to make evaluations in accordance with the criteria of the relevant audit program on the real situations encountered during the audits and to determine the areas that need improvement.
4   To be able to report the results of a quality audit to relevant parties on the basis of objective evidence.

In both midterm and final exams, there will be one major part for each topic. In each part, one or more questions can be asked.

Assessment Criteria

Students will pass this course if their overall grade (the weighted average of midterm exam, final exam and other assignments) equals or exceeds 75 points.
