Course Objective

This course aims to;
1. draw the basic legal framework that operators will need in business life,
2. ensure that the operators evaluate their business problems from a legal perspective,
3. inform students about the basic concepts of commercial law.

Assessment Criteria

1. To learn the basic concepts of business law.
2. To apply this knowledge on legal issues, and to solve legal problems.
3. Preparation of Assignement / Term Projects
Students are expected to write up a conceptual review on a topic of interest. The term project will be assessed based on four elements (criteria), as shown in the below rubric:

a. Introduction (15 points): The term project must present a clear, concise introduction of the topic with a compelling rationale for its importance. It must clearly state the objective of the review.

b. Literature Review and Theoretical Framework (40 points): Students must demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the topic by integrating a wide range of relevant theories and studies. Students must identify and critically evaluate key debates, gaps, and the evolution of theoretical perspectives. Students must demonstrate an ability to synthesize complex ideas and research findings to reveal new insights.

c. Discussion and Future Research Directions (30 points): The term project must involve a thoughtful, innovative discussion that builds on identified gaps to propose compelling future research directions. The project must clearly articulate the potential theoretical and practical implications of suggested research.

d. Writing Quality and APA Style (15 points): Writing must be clear, concise, and well-organized, demonstrating a high level of scholarly articulation with flawless adherence to APA style.

4. Presentations

Presentation must be engaging, well-organized, and clearly communicate key findings and analysis. (50 Points)
Students must demonstrate good public speaking skills and use of visual aids. (50 Points)
