Course Objective

The objectice of this course is to have the students discover the relationship between language and gender; challenge sterotypical gender roles which are expressed and sustained by language in the society and build up a critical view on how gender is morphologically, semantically or pragmatically encoded and constructed in language relating them to feminist theories as well.

1. Students are obligated to participate 70% of the lectures
2. All kinds of plagiarism and attempts of plagiarism shall be graded by 0 zero.
3. Students supposed to read the materials before lecture and participate the classroom discussions
4. Students are expected to make presentations about the subjects given by the lecturer.
