Course Objective

The aim of the course is to make the student comprehend the process, material and application of intaglio printmaking and to prepare a background for selfexpression with using the techniques learned.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

The course depends on studio work. The techniques to be applied about intaglio printmaking are introduced to the students with seminars. Examples are shown and the application process is indicated step by step.

In case of a pandemic or a natural disaster, the techniques are explained to the students on the platform suitable and the applications are made with the materials available.

Assessment Criteria

During the course projects are explained to students within the briefs given. If the course can not be performed physically in the studio due to pandemic or natural disasters, the projects are evaluated accordingly with the matrix. If the course is done in the studio then the evaluation will be done with the final prints.

Suitability of the work to the theme/subject
The formation of the matrix accordingly to the technique
Clean and true printing of the work
Signing and numbering correctness
Suitable presentation of the print
