Course Objective

Ability to assess garments and accessories not as a fashion designer in form, function and esthetics but in view of an artist whose material and technique are per se textile in the process of output and analyse related projects.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Establish associations between arts and fashion concepts
2   Set up relationship between arts and wearable art
3   Define concepts of fashion and anti-fashion
4   Analyse garment as a way of personal expression
5   Establish formal and functional harmony in garment and accessories
6   Set up a correlation between fashion and wearable art
7   Application of textile technique and material to wearable art
8   Scan domestic and foreign literature on wearable art and present it in written and oral ways

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

1. Lecturing and participation of students in lecture: Staff member is to convey prepared texts to students through visual processes, with creation of a discussion medium.
2. Research Topics and Presentation: Students who have received research topics on lecture are to prepare what they have learned within their majors under related expertises with creation of a discussion medium.
3. Applications: Students are to transfer what they have learned in related scientific fields to practical skills and analise therein.
