Course Objective

The aim of this class is to organize the candidates' approaches to art that have become apparent following the knowledge and experience gained during their bachelor studies in such a way as to form a systematic and consistent model of production and help them develop with the support of technical and theoretical discussions.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   The students taking this class are knowledgeable about what an attitude of art is, at an expert level.
2   They have sufficient knowledge about the fact that individual attitude of art is a process that is shaped by independent research, thoughts and observations.
3   Following the experiences in this class, it's understood that individual artistic approaches are a new formal organization of coded language.
4   The students know that the relationship between form and meaning that comes up in their self work, is to be based within the frame of tradition in art applications, with a knowledge of art history, and within the context of intellectual and sociological data.
5   The students have sufficient knowledge that their works need to be presented to the audience in a way that is in line with contemporary practices of presentation, within the context of a concept of presentation, that also discusses the exhibition space.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

Lecturing will be realized on a one-to-one basis with each student, together with suggestions for applications and practices. In addition, theoretical knowledge will be supported by visual presentations, weekly homeworks and writing/interpretation studies.
