Course Objective

In this course, the sociopolitical and cultural backdrop of art and design in our country will be discussed with a historical outlook. In addition to the production and development of the national culture, the interactions of art and design with other fields will be discussed through different concepts such as museums, religion, literature, music, theater, arts and gender.

1   Having a historical perspective on arts and design in Türkiye.
2   Understanding the sociopolitical and cultural backdrop of arts and design.
3   Discussing the relations between arts and design and society, religion, and gender.
4   Having a historical outlook in the fields of design, museums, music, theater and painting.
