Course Objective

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1	To be able to outline the current research methods in social and personality and developmental psychology when conducting research conducted on pop culture.
2	To be able to describe and summarize how human behaviours are displayed in popular culture elements, such as movies, books, and social media.
3	To be able to identify and differentiate the different approaches to the same human behaviour in varying popular culture outlets.
4	To be able to illustrate the knowledge in theories of psychology as a tool for understanding how human behaviours emerge and develop.
5	To be able to debate the ways race, gender stereotypes and perceptions of gender roles influence the development of human behaviours.
6	To be able to appraise how art pieces set the social context in human behaviour developed by the important research themes in psychology, such as mental health, gender, self, personality, and identity.

Assessment Criteria

In total, one midterm and one final will be conducted. There will be multiple selection, short answer and open-ended questions in the levels of wide range of knowledge, comprehension, analysis, interpretation and synthesis for all exams.
