Course Objective

The course aims to:
1.Provide students with an introduction to, and overview of the field of psychology.
2. To execute different thinking skills, how to understand the strengths and weaknesses of different kinds of evidence, and how to recognize and correct different kinds of thinking errors.
3. Examine the methods and findings specific to the analysis of both nonhuman and human behavior.
4. Develop information literacy skills to research and read the primary scientific literature on Psychology.
5. Allow students to define different critical thinking skills and apply such skills to new ideas and knowledge.
6. To practise critical thinking in everyday situations and psychology in order to differentiate fallacies and thinking errors.

Assessment Criteria

In total, one midterm and one final will be conducted. There will be multiple selection and open-ended questions in the levels of information, comprehension, analysis, interpretation and synthesis for all exams.
