Course Objective

This course focuses on the ways in which ideologies are constructed in discourse. As an important political tool, discourse, which constructs social reality according to a certain ideology, is formed according to the contingent conditions that constitute the context on the one hand, and on the other hand, it creates situations, objects of knowledge, social identities, inter-subjective and inter-group relations. In this course, various texts will be analyzed with "Critical Discourse Analysis" which will be presented as an analysis method.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

Explaining the topic to students through interactive presentations and supporting it with visual materials, followed by in-depth analysis of the topic through student discussions.
