Learning technival materials and devices related to serological diagnosis in parasitology and serological methods

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Define, describe and apply serological tests
2   Define biosafety in laboratory and associate with laboratory practise
3   List and prepare solutions and materials used in serological tests
4   Prepare antigens used in serological tests
5   List and apply rapid diagnostic tests
6   List prefered serological tests in certain parasitosis and associate with diagnostic criteria
7   Outline electrophoresis and western blotting
8   Define serological tests specific to certain parasitosis (Dye test, avidity test etc.)

2 Biosafety in laboratories
3 State and prepare solutions and materials used in serological tests
4 Prepare antigens used in serological tests
5 Aglutination (HA, IHA) methods
6 Properties of fluoresance microscope and fluoresance stains
7 Immunofluoresance methods
8 Conventional ELISA methods
9 Special ELISA methods
10 Electrophoresis and immundiffusion methods
11 Immunochromatographic methods (Rapid diagnosis tests)
12 SDS-Page and western-blot methods
13 Other serological methods(Dye, avidity, compleman fixation )
14 Serological tests specific to certain parasitosis and criteria of diagnosis
