To give the knowledge of basic art history which is necessary to understand today's art through the first examples of paintings, sculptures and architecture of ancient

1   To be able to perceive the place of art in political and social events
2   To be able to comprehend the sources of art reference.
3   To be conscious of the first uses of art terminology and techniques.
4   To be able to establish the chronology of the art from the first civilizations to Byzantium with examples.
5   To be able to compare the concept of art production of early civilizations with the understanding of art today.
