Course Objective

Course Objective: By this course it is aimed to gain the students information about rat s, mouse s, rabbit s and other laboratory animals ; physiology, anatomy, histology, embryology, biochemistry and behavior, stress and welfare

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to define the concepts related to rat s, mouse s, rabbit s and other laboratory animals ; physiology, anatomy, histology, embryology, biochemistry and behavior, stress and welfare
2   To be able to compare physiological, anatomical, histological, embryological, biochemical and interspecies behavioral differences
3   To be able to make basic applications about rat s, mouse s, rabbit s and other laboratory animals ; physiology, anatomy, histology, embryology, biochemistry and behavior, stress and welfare
4   To be able to define concepts about stress and welfare
5   To be able to evaluate issues of stress and welfare in laboratory animals
6   To be able to use these information in planning and applying basic research
