Course Objective

To learn the scientific basis of manual therapy techniques, related mechanism, contraindications, indications and recent manual physiotherapy techniques.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Describes the manual techniques and their mechanisms used in the treatment of musculoskeletal system diseases 2   Knows and performs Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation techniques. 3   Knows and performs myofascial release techniques and trigger point therapy. 4   Knows and performs neural mobilization techniques and therapeutic massage. 5   Knows and performs lymphedema therapy.
