Course Objective

It is aimed to provide information about Kinesiology, biomechanics and pathomechanics of the normal locomotor system (Basic concepts of kinesiology, tissues, balance, posture, movement control, upper extremity)

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   At the end of the course students will be able to identify the basic concepts of kinesiology, laws of motion and definitions
2   students will be able to identify the bones and cartilage tissue mechanics and pathomechanics.
3   students will be able to identify the muscle, tendon and ligament tissue mechanics and pathomechanics and will be able to classify joint according to their structures.
4   students will able to implement structural functional analysis (movement planes, joint structures and functions).
5   students will able to identify mechanics and pathomechanics of upper extremity joints (shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand).
