Course Objective |
The aim of the lecture is to teach how to design and test the scientific computing using Matlab/Octave and to solve scientific computing problems from a variety of disciplines including physics, chemistry, biology, computer science, and math. Topics to be covered include plotting, curve fitting, image processing, optimization, integration, differentiation, statistical analysis, Ordinary Differential Equations (ODE) solving, and simulation. |

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods |
The course is taught in a lecture, class presentation and discussion format. Besides the taught lecture, group presentations are to be prepared by the groups assigned and presented in a discussion session. In some weeks of the course, results of the homework given previously are discussed. |
