Course Objective

Getting to know women's and men's competition apparatus and various basic tools in the artistic gymnastics, getting to learn safety rules as well as basic movements and cascading

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to define basic information about Artistic Gymnastics history and competitions.
2   Learning artistic gymnastics apparatus and rules in women
3   Learning artistic gymnastics apparatus and rules in men
4   To do basic movements
5   Learning the cascading for basic movements, being able to do training programme

1 Floor exercises basic movements ( tumbles)
2 Floor exercises basic movements (handstand, movements involving handstand)
3 Floor exercises basic movements (cartwheel, round-off)
4 Floor exercises basic movements (jumps, turns)
5 Vault (using springboard, trampoline)
6 Vault (passing, handspring)
7 Mid-term exam
8 Horizontal bar/ Uneven bars (swings,hip circle)
9 Pommel horse (swings on basic apparatus)
10 Rings / Parralel bars (swings, body grips)
11 Balance beam (walkings, basic movements)
12 Game rules, judging
13 Preparation for unit training
14 Weekly, monthly plan, annual plan

Body movements are evaluated according to the criteria of technical and practical application, theoretical evaluation are evaluated with question-answers in midterm and final exams.
