Course Objective

In recent years there has been an increase in competition due to activities that have made financial gains such as handicapping and betting on unethical behaviors. A Sport sciences expert candidate should learn to be able to understand the issues related to the use of performance enhancing substances to improve physical sport performance through prohibited substances in order to provide wrongful advantages and having basic knowledge about sports ethics.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Be able to learn ethical behavior in sport for athletes and coaches,
2   Be able to learn WADA prohibited list and content,
3   Having information about ergogenic aid and legal methods,
4   Increase the awareness of damages caused by the use of doping and illegal processes
5   Be able to learn basic knowledge about athlete doping tracking systems and technologies.
