Course Objective

Presentation of the software used in earth sciences, enabling use of the operator level.

5   Ability to create a digital database for drilling, mining, and marble quarries

Course Contents

Week Subject Description
1 Presentation of the software used in Earth Sciences. Opportunities.
2 Micromine presentation software.
3 Create the project file, micromine software.
4 Create a database of drilling, micromine software.
5 Drilling and surface presentation of data entry panels.
6 Introduce the program and georeferencing image files
7 3D morphology of the project area to create the program.
8 Lithologic and tectonic data for the site to transfer the program.
9 HOMEWORK-1
10 2D and 3D lithological, tectonic create solid models.
11 Drilling, galleries and open pit plans, build on the models created.
12 Quality and anomalymaps, create on the model established.
13 HOMEWORK-2
14 Maps, sections and preparation of model printing files.
15 Final exam

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

Lessons will be held computer class. Presentation of the software used in geological applications, and data entry panels will be made in practice. Using the data area of a mine site or marble quarry that is already created digitizing and data bank will be held.

Assessment Criteria

Meaningful learning of the basic concepts given in the assignments, associating the concepts with each other, establishing cause-effect relationships, making comments on questions or problems using their existing knowledge, and evaluating the production of ideas will be realized with the final exam and homework..
