Course Objective

The purposes of this course are to teach the ceramic materials in architectural buildings, the usage of bricks in Ottoman Empire and Anatolian Seljuk period, to show the current application fields the tiles, bricks, sanitary ware, etc.

2   To describe the usage of bricks in Anatolian Seljuk period.
3   To describe the usage of bricks in Ottoman Empire period.
4   To list the usage of current ceramic materials in architectural buildings.
5   To describe the usage of ceramic materials at recreation sites.

8 The use of ceramics in architecture board The use of ceramic materials in the urban tissue
9 The use the base brick in areas exposed to pedestrian and vehicular traffic.
10 The use of brick as a coating material in architecture.
11 Brick facades in architecture: press (clinker), brick and tiles.
12 Ceramic tile types: technical properties, maintenance and cleaning.

The theoretical lectures of the course will be taught in the classroom and the applications of the theoretical issues will be taught in the laboratory. The instructor will discuss the theoretical and applications of the course for better understanding.
