Course Objective |
The purpose of this course is to develop the knowledge and skills of making Textile Pattern Design by giving basic design principles and coloring techniques in order to create original designs while learning color relations and rules of surface compositions. The students will be designing textile design patterns inspired by various cultures, nature and modern life while analyzing historical examples of textile print designs of all fabrics. |

Each student prepares a "Textile Pattern Design Portfolio" through the 15 Weeks of the course period. |
Assessment Criteria |
The success of the student will be evaluated by measuring the 5 Learning Outcomes and plus with the Midterm Exams, Final and Make-Up Exams and the Textile Pattern Design Portfolio. |

Course Policies and Rules |
70% of course attendance is mandatory. In case of detection of any copy content on the "Textile Pattern Design Portfolio", student work will be excluded from the assessment. |
