Course Objective

The course aims to teaching about basic systems of grouping the textile pattern and figures, pattern styles, classic and new methods to designing the textile patterns and unlimited variety of textiles planning of patterns on the surface.

2   Recognition of extil pattern styles
3   To be able to apply classical and new methods in pattern design
4   To learn the basic systems related to surface planning in textile patterns and make applications
5   Ability to edit surfaces in textile product design

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

Staff member requires students to learn design of pattern/figure groups, styles, in textile design with a theoretical and visual explanation of methods and surface planning systems, and they will be able to do practical work related to these topics by doing prapering to industrial textile product design.

The course is to assess students ability to explore, experiment and creatively approach in using textile material.

Assessment Criteria

The course is to evaluate ability of students to transfer their creativeness and unique ideas to design and use their time efficiently
conduct explorations and studies based on given projects and participate in the course.

Attendance to the course by 70% is compulsory
Any attempts to plagiarise or plagiarism will be harshly punished by disciplinary board
Nonattendance to the course can not justify late delivery of assignments and projects.
