Course Objective

It s aimed to teach preparing glaze recipes and their analyses about related topic by the help of theoretical information. And also glazing techniques and application of glazes to ceramic forms.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be capable of classifying glazes and expressing their formulas.
2   To be capable of recognizing glaze raw materials and colarant oxides.
3   To be capable of preparing glaze recipes and Seger formulas by the help of theoretical investigations and their applications on ceramic bodies.
4   To be capable of analysing related glazes and remediyng their possible faults.
5   To be capable of applying selected glazes to ceramic objects.
