Course Objective |
The aim of this course is to evaluate miniature as a painting developing dependently on specific conditions, and to examine the discussion on painting ban in Islam; to resolve space recognition in miniature by examining the mentality and philosophical infrastructure in the periods of different miniature styles, and to have the students make original designs using different viewpoints. |

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods |
In this course, the students will be canalized to main and supplementary resources in order to have them consider and interpret the miniature as a painting style. Furthermore, they are asked to read some related articles from scientific magazines, especially published in English, and these articles will be supported with new ideas in class discussions. The students will also be encouraged to make a presentation in a scientific meeting and will be asked to make a presentation at the same level in class. |

Further Notes About Assessment Methods |
The main evaluation criteria is made up of the students resource scanning after being guided to main sources and their presentation in the lesson. They are also evaluated by the answers they will be asked and their participation in the discussions after the lesson. Moreover, the creativity in their original designs and the originality will be taken into account. |
Assessment Criteria |
The mid-term, final and presentation will be evaluated out of 100, and the average will be out of 100. |
