Course Objective

In this course, it is aimed to have the students examine the dye plants and the methods and techniques used for dying thread at professional level.

1   determine red-encolouring dye plants, dying methods and formulas
2   determine yellow-encolouring dye plants, dying methods and formulas
3   determine blue-encolouring dye plants, dying methods and formulas
4   determine brown-encolouring dye plants, dying methods and formulas
5   present their researches at academic level

Assessment Criteria

The mid-term, the assignment and the final grades will be evaluated out of 100. 20% of the mid-term, 20% of the assignment and the 60% of the final exam will determine the pass grade. The students will be informed about the value of the questions to be asked in both exams.

Course Policies and Rules

70% attendance is compulsory.
Before the end of the term, in the last 15 days, students will be able to learn their attendance. Students who fail due to absenteeism will not be admitted for the final exam.
At the end of each lesson, the next lesson s subject is given to the students as study and research subject. So, students come to the next lesson ready.
Students who are on sick leave will be considered absent, except the mid-term and the final.
Students who don t take the mid-term or the final exam without any excuse will not be given the exams by any means.
