Course Objective

Definition of paper, paper material in the restoration of the monuments, acid-free paper with paper repair operation of the production of handmade paper, which causes destruction of papers, determination of the works to the restoration of these reasons, paper restoration materials, documents, repair, Before and after repair protection principles, the book on restoration of paper material to teach the theoretical and practical studies.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Definition of paper, paper forming materials, natural materials necessary for the production of paper, natural paper making stages, the material of paper documents, books, manuscripts and so on. causes of destruction, trace the identity card to create promotional information,
2   Monuments have been destroyed by burning libraries, museums, collections, archives and so on. examining areas, report preparation may determine the causes of destruction, destruction of documents manually according to the restoration of the destroyed material, paper, together with knowledge of application, an active restoration of the documents made of offering

7 Environmental elements of heat-light-moisture-pollution- The damage caused by people
8 Equipment and materials needed for conservation of the classical paper
9 Applications in the case of manuscript paper restoration, the restored document protection,
10 Conservation storage, condition of buildings, storage equipment, archive boxes, dust and dirt protection-protection from natural disasters such as fire, flood, destruction of biological mushroom-microorganism-insect and rodent protection of living things, etc.
11 General maintenance works of writing material, applications (the destruction of harmful substances-straightening-packaging to ensure supervision of manuscripts, etc.-use valuable documents, and struggle-building, damaging the operations applied to the procedures-the works.

What is the definition of paper, paper forming substances. A natural paper-making, materials used in the restoration of paper documents with paper, writing materials, which recognize the work, paper restoration work . protection of culture and protection of manuscripts in the theoretical and practical information to give a workshop environment, the visual power point presentations, group work, participation .. applied studies of all studies of theoretical knowledge, (photographic documentation, practical examples, references, etc.). presentations will be informed in order to develop.

Further Notes About Assessment Methods

This course involves 2 theoretical course credits; and 2 practical course credits. In the educational year, both a mid-term exam and a final exam are given to the students so as to make them comprehend the course content during the lessons. By means of the exams, how much information given by the books and notes has been grasped, and at what degree the practices related to the designs have been turned into skills will be evaluated. The students will be supposed to prepare an assignment and present it in the course systematics they have grasped.
It is important for the students to attend classes because they can improve their drawing skills and because this applied course is the main course of the discipline the students related to. So, the attendance will be taken into consideration.
At the end of the term, by considering ethical, systematic, organizational and esthetical principles, each student will represent his project with a file including project stages.

Assessment Criteria

Exams will be evaluated out of 100. This grade will be determined according to the number of the questions to be asked in the exams. And also, the project, the assignment presentation and the attendance will be evaluated out of 100.

Participation in courses taken in the course, even those from the course after the start time are taken into consideration the participation of half a course. All entries will be considered above the general rate. Towards the end of each lecture topics will be covered in the next lesson the student is offered as a subject of study and research. The first description of the issue presented in the lesson after the class discussion of research results before the study begins.
