Course Objective

Introducing the factors harmful for the textiles and having the students comprehend the precautions for these factors.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

This course is taught theoretically. The aim is to supply maximum student attendance and to have the students comprehend the subject by researching and discussing rather than rote learning. In the first lesson, the 15-week program is introduced to the students to be able to make them be ready for the subjects which will be studied in this period. So, the lessons are taught by discussions and exchanging of views, and we also guide them.

Further Notes About Assessment Methods

Students will be given a mid-term and a final exam concerning the subjects given theoretical. Furthermore, they will make a sample in the dimension of almost 25 cm. X 35 cm. to show the restitution methods. The pass grade will be determined by the midterm, final exam and restitution grades.

Assessment Criteria

The midterm, the restitution studies and the final exam will be evaluated out of 100; the 20% of the midterm, the 20% of the restitution studies and the 60% of the final exam will determine the pass grade. The evaluation of the two exam questions will be given to the students.

Course Policies and Rules

The compulsory attendance is 70%.
Before the end of the term, in the last 15 days, students will be able to learn their attendance. Students having absenteeism over 70% won t be accepted to the final exam.
At the end of each course, the next lesson s subject is given to the students as study and research subject. So, students come to the next lesson ready.
Apart from midterm and final exams, students who are on sick leave will be considered absent
Students who don t enter the midterm or/and the final exams without an excuse won t be able to take them again by any means.
