Course Objective

It is aimed to support the students academically on the field they want to specialize and on their artistic studies, and have them make designs and practices in addition to their Certificate Study course. Moreover, by considering our current traditional tile art, the students are supposed to examine and suggest solutions by assessing the problems of the workshops making productions.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

This course is both theoretical and practical. In lessons, the students will be instructed and the resources will be introduced while in practice part, they will be given free time to make new designs.

Further Notes About Assessment Methods

Because of being both theoretical and practical course, a mid term and a final exam are planned to be given on the basis of lecture notes given before and instructed in the lessons. Also, their designs and production studies will be evaluated

Assessment Criteria

The exams will be evaluated depending on the number of the questions and out of 100, which will be announced before the exams. The total grade will be identified and evaluated by the answers. Besides, the presentations of new designs and productions will be evaluated out of 100

Course Policies and Rules

The students coming to class late will be accepted into the class but are considered to attend half class period. All attendance will be scored as mentioned above. At the end of each course, the next lesson s subject is given to the students as study and research subject. Each lesson starts after discussing the study and research subject before teaching it.
