Course Objective |
The aim of this course is to provide students with; Ceramics - To learn primers and application methods used in tile production, oxides and oxides that give color, paints used in tiles and ceramics, paint production and types, glazes and glaze preparation stages, porcelain and industrial mud. |

In this course, the subjects within the program will be taught theoretically in the laboratory with students participation. Furthermore, when necessary, students will be able to see the materials visually. |

Because of being a theoretical course, we will make use of lecture notes and resources. Also, the students will prepare a research project about the life and works of a tile or ceramics artist. |

Mid term, the project and the final exam will be considered in evaluation. |

Course Policies and Rules |
Due to its being a theoretical course, at the end of each lesson students will be asked to give a knowledge recycle about the lesson. So, the students will always concentrate on the lesson. Participations will be evaluated according to the criteria mentioned above. The next lesson s subject will be given to the students so that they will make preliminary preparation. |
