Course Objective

It is aimed to provide students a holistic understanding of management and organization theories with a historical and philosophical perspective whilst providing students to gain skills, competencies and capabilities regarding writing and reading management and organization studies.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   1) Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of a range of organizational theories and their historical development.
2   2) Demonstrate an understanding of the various roles of the organizations in the society.
3   3) Recognize the needs for developing skills and competencies for interrogating existing theories and suggesting alternative perspectives in terms of academic writing and reading.
4   4) Develop oral/written communication skills; articulate and defend his/her position.
