Course Objective

Basic factors such as raw material, yarn, texture and color gain importance in fabric designs made using fabric production techniques such as weaving, knitting and nonwoven surface. With this course, it is aimed to research hard, soft, glossy, matte, volume, opaque, transparent innovative textures in different textile techniques in new application studies with the conscious preferences of design elements.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To understand the relationship between material, yarn and texture in fabric design
2   To know the effect of the preferred technique on texture in fabric design
3   To examine the effects of material, yarn, knitting and color on the tissue separately and to develop conscious design.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

The students are provided information about the factors that affect the weaving design. It is expected that they will make tissue researches and applications with related techniques that increase their aesthetic value in fabric design such as weaving, knitting and nonwovens.

Implementation of the work that meets the expectations.
In addition to the methodology, assignments and presentations are questioned both in
terms of the work they need to transfer and their ability to express themselves.
