Course Objective |
The Bauhaus training model, in which today's textile design consciousness is being structured, will be taught based on the practices of the weaving workshop. After the study of Bauhaus education and design philosophy, the development processes of world textile design and production will be explained. Textile design project will be inspired by the Bauhaus period. |

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods |
Students are given information about the fundamentals of Bauhaus design concept. With the examples, the design transformation is explained in the textile where the historical development process is explained. Bauhaus is studied in the educational model and practices of leading designers and artists, who give significant works to the designers and the works they use. In this context, the studies of important instructors of Bauhaus are examined and their contribution to the development of today's design concept is examined. In the light of these studies, the student is asked to bring design proposals. After discussing the proposals, the final designs are expected to be determined by determining the production materials and techniques. |
