Course Objective

Is to examine the relationship between contemporary art movements and textile and fashion relationship with respect to Art-Design relationship and interaction and to catch innovative designs.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   to be able to establish, analyze and interpret the relationship between art and design,
2   to have background information related with contemporary art movements.
3   to have background information about industrial design, and development process of textile and fashion design. .
4   to make and present researches about specialized field.
5   to have cultural acknowledgement about professional area.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

In first week of academic term bibliography related with research subjects and course is given by lecturer to the students. Lecturer conveys the course the students by means of course notes which are prepared from different sources and visual presentations. Students present their research subjects in class by means of oral and/or visual presentations in last 4 weeks.
