Course Objective

This course aims to improve the learners speaking and comprehension skills, their vocabulary storage and ability to use grammar effectively at pre-intermediate level by means of communicative approach and learner-centered techniques.

1   To be able to have English vocabulary storage and grammar rules at pre-intermediate level
2   To be able to read and comprehend texts in English at pre-intermediate level

4 My life story Life events; asking and answering using simple past tense
5 My life story Simple past tense; affirmative, negative and questions
6 Getting around Asking what people are doing; present continuous tense and simple present tense
7 Getting around present continuous tense and simple present tense
8 Revision of the first 7 weeks and mid-term Revision of important structures using written and oral exercises
9 What a good story Giving directions; describing location; prepositions of place
10 What a good story Past continuous tense
11 What a good story Simple past tense - past continuous tense; various texts and supplementary exercises
12 Seeing the World Talking about future plans; future tense (be going to)
13 What s she like Descriptions; adjectives and adverbs
14 General revision of the important topics Revision of important structures using written and oral exercises
