Course Objective

The aim of the course is to introduce the students to an analysis of foreign policies of countries through theories of International Relations such as realism, liberalism and social constructivism and moreover to various frameworks that have an impact on foreign policy decision-making. The course will analyze the impact of external factors and internal factors on foreign policy making.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Gain an understanding of theories of foreign policy analysis.
2   identify the external factors through realism and liberalism and internal factors through social constructivism
3   Analyze the foreign policy decisions of states by applying appropriate theories and environments.
4   Design and write a research paper in order to analyze a specific foreign policy of a country.
5   Work effectively as a part of a team and individually
6   Demonstrate analytical skills in writing and presenting a report.
7   Acquire the skills to use library and internet resources independently

4. Demonstrate high communication skills in writing and presenting a report.
5. Demonstrate the skills to use library and internet resources independently.
