Course Objective

Course Objectives:
The goals of this course are to introduce the student to the concepts of the mechanisms of carcinogenesis ethiology. The aim of this course is to discuss the general properties, physical, chemical and biological spies in ethiology mechanisms, and their roles in metabolism and in the control of metabolism; to analyse cancer biology and types of cancer and in addition, evaluate the common cancers using clinical cases.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Synthesizing, analysing with qualitative an quantitative data, interpretation and evaluation of collected information about normal and cancer cells.
2   Identifiable the carcinogens and have expertise in the theorical basis of cancer ethiology.
3   Analyse at the critical level the basic principles of cancer cells and cancer ethiology.
4   Acquire basic, clinical cancer knowledge and physical, chemical, viral carcinogens
5   Creating the scientific report from obtained results and presentation these results as verbal and visual
6   Idendifiable the critical role the nutrition of cancer ethiolgy.
7   Synthesize the knowledge on specific cancer ethiologys, differantiation and apply it to new situations.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

The course will be run in an integrated way-winding theory with case discussion. The methods of learning will be interactive.

Assessment Criteria

Oral presentation: Each student will give an oral presentation based on a current scientific article related to the week s topic.
Final Paper: The final assignment will be to write a grant proposal focusing on the topics that we have covered in class.
A detailed description of the format and expectations will be given to students following the midterm presentation.
