Course Objective

In this course, it is aimed to enable students, who do doctorate at the Department of Management in Nursing, to explain problems about the health system and nursing, form solution strategies and apply the change method.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   1. The student can explain up-to-date problems about the health system and nursing.
2   2. The student can discuss the problems that influence the functions and responsibilites of the manager nurse.
3   3. The student can form strategies by using models for the solution of problems regarding the nursing management
4   4. The student can assess the effectiveness of innovations that occur as a result of change.
5   5. The student can transfer the innovations to the operation of nursing services management.
6   6. The student can develop alternative models for the care of risk groups.

It is measured with the literature studies of students regarding the course subjects, their skill of presenting the literature outcomes, theoretical knowledge and literature contributions that are brought every week for discussion during the course, as well as relevant midterm exam and final exam.
