Course Objective

It is aimed that students shall learn the theories and models within the context of public health nursing, deal with the problems in health system by using these models and theories, have opinions in line with the approaches of people about protecting and improving their health. In this course, theories and models will be discussed in terms of their usage in research, application and education and conducted studies will be discussed.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Explains the methods of the usage of theories and models used in Public Health Nursing in research, application and education
2   Explains the factors effective in health protection and promotion behaviors by basing on theories and models.
3   Brings appropriate solution offers to the problems in Public Health Nursing by using theories and models.
4   Assesses the studies by using theories and models in a critical.
5   Plans a study by using theories and models.

Through exams, the skills of being able to interpret, remember, decide, explain and combine the knowledge are assessed.
