Course Objective

Explaining the place and importance of autobiography and autobiography in new expressing expression and artistic language in visual arts. The subject of his art in creating artistic language is to present the events, people and lives that direct the artistic work of the modern and postmodern artists who are his own life. Defining one's own existence, placing his biography in his own artistic language, transforming it into contemporary artistic productions and applying contemporary art materials and techniques.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Defines biography and autobiography
2   uses self-life in new -expressionist expression like an art object
3   knows the contribution of autobiography which is a literary field to art and to be able to use contemporary art materials and techniques in autobiographical art projects in post-structuralist understanding.
4   analyzes Individual mythology- the contemporary visual artworks in which the boundaries melted between life and art
5   reads Autobiography, self- narrative and cultural elements, the deconstruction, the fictionalization and expression of contemporary art in contemporary art through the works of the native and foreign artists of postmodern art.
6   With project-based education model, he/she can place his own existence and biography in his artistic language - he/she can create autobiographical artistic project productions

Course Contents

1 Introduction to biography and the concept of autobiography. Introduction of the course.
2 Autobiography / understanding of the day -a literary field.Example presentation. Biography / everyday conception and a literary field: First examples of Plutarch and Attarbiography
3 Types of Biography (By Expression Format), -Reasonable biography - Fictional biography
4 Self-portrait storytelling, moment and self-portrait. Sample presentation. (Memories of a dinosaur, etc.) and art diagram application   Project 1: Creating a personal art diagram. The application of the narrative of narrative art diagram.
5 Individual mythology- melting the boundaries between life and art.Theories: Kohut and Hartman's concepts of the self and the object of the self, the psychology and theories of the self.
6 A Strong Example of Self in Art History:   The transformation of jerky and extraordinary lives into artistic production and artrit. (Frida Kahlo's autobiography: Life in painting)
7 The transformation of the extraordinary life into artistic production. (Painter M.Chagal and F.Bacon autobiography: Life in painting)
