Course Objective

In this course, the types will be introduced by considering the development and change in pottery production since the beginning of the Roman Period and it is aimed to evaluate the regional relations. Types and forms will be examined in a chronological order.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to distinguish between Roman Period pottery types.
2   To be able to distinguish early, middle and late Roman Period ceramic forms.
3   To be able to evaluate imported and local productions.
4   To be able to evaluate the commercial relations in the geography under the domination of the Roman Empire.
