Course Objective

The history that the Turks made Anatolia their homeland and then built there, the process, the culture and civilization that was created, and the political, social, cultural, etc. that it revealed. In terms of results, it has an important place in both general Turkish history, Islamic Turkish history and world history. Because if there is a Muslim Turkish culture living in the Anatolian geography today, this has been possible with the Turks coming and settling here, keeping their homeland and instilling and preserving their own culture here. Here's the real move; This course aims to:
1- To introduce the main source works that can be used in the analysis of the Turkish-Islamic culture that emerged in Anatolia.
2- To show with examples the origins of Turkish-Islamic culture in Anatolia and the connection and relationship between Central Asian Turkish culture and Islamic culture.
3- To introduce and teach the architects and services of this culture that flourished in Anatolia, and to create motivation and awareness in them.
4- To be able to analyze and evaluate the material and moral values, elements and concrete manifestations that make up the Anatolian Turkish-Islamic culture,
5- To create awareness and sensitivity to protect and protect the material-spiritual values and works of the culture in question.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   He/she can follow the ethnic, religious and cultural dimensions of the process of Anatolia becoming a Turkish homeland in a chronological framework.
2   Learns the history, culture and civilizations of the Turkish Seljuks and Anatolian principalities correctly from basic and reliable sources, and thus can make objective evaluations about Anatolian and Turkish history. Comprehends their place and importance in Anatolian Turkish history and culture.
3   Gains knowledge about the various elements that serve the Turkization and Islamization process of Anatolia and their political, military, religious, social and cultural activities and roles.
4   He can analyze and evaluate the conditions and dynamics that enabled the establishment of the Ottomans and their transformation into a state. In this way, he gains the ability and experience to look at history from a multi-faceted perspective.
5   Being knowledgeable about the place and importance of Anatolian Turkish history in general Turkish history, Islamic history and general world history, they can evaluate, analyze and draw conclusions about some of today's problems.
