Course Objective

By giving deep historical information in the field of Religious-Mystical Turkish Music, the student will be able to identify the gaps in the field, bring the unexamined works to the light, recognize the sources of miraculous accumulation from the past and be an exemplary personalities, and make them realize that they can be an academic, a scientist and an artist at the same time.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   They have their horizons about how they can develop them by learning Islamic arts with their historical development. The unity of music with literature will lead to meaning and the moral, cultural, ethical, social values will be reflected in the consciousness.
2   Determining that the concepts of language, religion, music and literature are an inseparable whole, will gain aesthetic experiences.
3   The concept of art has matured in his mind thanks to recognizing its artists and works, will be perceived as a means of production, not consumption.
4   It will be learned that religion can be internalized with highly spiritual Islamic arts.
5   Incomplete researches in religious music field and inaccessible sources will be determined.
