Course Objective

To acquire grounding thoughts about the Philosophy of Life from the ancient times to the present.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   At the end of the course, the student comprehends the thoughts about the philosophy of life.
2   The students will be find the opportunity to examine the place of philosophy of life in the history of thought methodologically.
3   Examines the handling of the problem in these disciplines comparatively.
4   Determine the scientific position of their own work.
5   Contributes to science by not repeating academic studies.

Obtaining thoughts about the Philosophy of Life from the ancient times to the present, learning the connections between philosophy and happiness, the emerging trends in this field, and benefiting from philosophy as a researcher working in this field, being able to make objective and analytical analyses; they develop their ability to observe objectivity and scientificity at the highest level in their research and examinations.

Assessment Criteria

Students achievements are calculated from the results of mid-term exam, homework assignments, final exam and active participation to the lecture.
