Course Objective

The aim of this course is to teach students basic contemporary topics of philosophy such existence, knowledge, value and to teach seventeeth and eighteenth century philosophy.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   The students will learn the basic views of the philosophy movements of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, which prepared the philosophers of the modern period, in areas such as existence, knowledge, value, by reading from their own works.
2   Gain information about the methods and techniques of 17th and 18th century philosophical movements.
3   They compare the philosophers and movements of the 17th and 18th centuries that prepared contemporary philosophers in the context of their relations with other movements and philosophers in the history of philosophy.

Further Notes About Assessment Methods

The students will develop their knowledge and skills on the topics of eighteenth and nineteenth century philosophers' texts and contemporary philosophy.

Assessment Criteria

The success of student will be counted by reference to their performance in mid term, final exams, works and courses.
