To learn meanings and functions of religious symbols for the individual and the society

1   the student learn the concept of symbol
2   perceive the relationship between religion and symbol
3   can reason on the meaning and function of the symbols in religions
4   can compare various symbols in different traditions
5   can comment meanings and functions of the religious symbols in individual and collective life
