Course Objective

To gain recognition, reading, comprehension and translate ability of modern texts deal with Arabic language and literature such as novels, stories, poetry, theater and developing it.

1   The student knows the literature of modern Arabic literature.
2   The student recognizes types of Modern Arabic Literature and knows outstanding works.
3   The student gets information about trends on modern Arabic literature.
4   The student can analyze the texts of Modern Arabic Literature.

Further Notes About Assessment Methods

Midterm and Final Exam:
In Mid-term and final exam, the students are asked questions in classical style about works and books on Modern Arabic literature, which will test their knowledge of the field. They are also asked to perform translation of the modern Arabic literature texts to Turkish Language .

Homework:
The student prepares a composition about a certain genre, literary movement, or a book or an author, and then presents this composition in printed output.

Assessment Criteria

The students will be assessed based on success in their mid-term, and final exams and assignments along with their performance during the classes throughout the semester.
