Course Objective

The aim of this course is to deeply understand and examine the relationship between tourism and sociology disciplines and the social and cultural effects of tourism.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to identify socio-cultural, economic, and cultural impacts of tourism.
2   To be able to discuss basic sociology theories,
3   To be able to examine tourist motivations and personality theories to analyze tourist behaviour
4   To be able to identify, discuss and evaluate the impacts of globalization on culture and tourist behaviour.
5   To be able to analyze the relationship between culture and tourism.
